Luis Collado, is professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of UAM and, since 2017, director of the Department of Economic Structure and Development Economics.
He combines his academic activity with his responsibility as Councilor of Finance and Human Resources of the City of Torrelodones.
During his presentation, Luis Collado explained the experience lived as Councilor in the City of Torrelodones, and how “Vecinos por Torrelodones”, a political party founded in April 2007 by a group of neighbors without any previous political experience, revealed that doing politics in another way was possible: participation, transparency and service to the neighbor were the essential pillars.
