In the second edition of the UAM-Accenture Visiting Fellowship program, the UAM-Accenture Chair has decided to grant this recognition to Professor Susana Borras (Copenhagen Business School, Denmark), for her outstanding work in the field of innovation policy studies.
Her contributions have addressed the interaction between governance and innovation, the design of innovation policy and its instruments mix, and the organizational capacity related to policy learning. In addition to her academic contributions, Susana Borrás has advised governments and institutions at international and national levels on technology and innovation policy matters.
She is currently member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV), and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Centre for European Studies, Sciences-Po Paris, France. She was also part of the board of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm (Sweden), and member of the Danish Research Policy Council, advising the Danish Minister and Parliament.
As UAM-Accenture Visiting Fellow, Prof. Borrás will spend four weeks at the Autonomous University of Madrid, working within the research group of the UAM-Accenture Chair. During this period, she will give several research seminars and participate in policy workshops with Spanish policy-makers and experts in the field of innovation. She will also interact with researchers and students of the Master and PhD Programs in Economics and Management of Innovation.
