In this edition of the UAM-Asseco Visiting Fellowship Program, the UAM-Asseco Chair has decided to appoint as the new UAM-Asseco Visiting fellow to Professor Daniele Archibugi (IRPPS-CNR and Birkbeck College, University of London), for his outstanding work in the field of innovation studies related to economic, social and political global developments.
His contributions have addressed the globalization of technology, the theory and measurement of innovation, the international division of competences in science and technology, and the impact of innovation on economic cycles.
He is currently Research Director at the Italian National Research Council (IRPPS-CNR in Rome); Professor of Innovation, Governance and Public Policy at Birkbeck College (University of London); and Member of the Academic Board of the Venice International University.
As UAM-Asseco Visiting Fellow, Prof. Archibugi will spend four weeks at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, working within the research group of the UAM-Asseco Chair. During this period, he will give several research seminars and participate in policy workshops with Spanish policy-makers and experts in the field of innovation. He will also interact with researchers and students of the Master and PhD Programs in Economics and Management of Innovation.
