Charles Edquist, professor of Innovation Studies, has been the Holder of the Ruben Rausing Chair in Innovation Research at CIRCLE, Lund University, Sweden, since February 2003 and has previously held a Chair at the University of Linköping. He is member of the Swedish National Innovation Council, chaired by the Prime Minister.
His presentation was titled “Innovation policy to replace Linearity with Holism – exemplified with the Swedish National Innovation Council”. He proposed the idea of replacing the “linearity” of innovation policies with a more “holistic” approach, exemplified by the case of the Swedish National Innovation Council.
Then a coffee was served, during which there was an interesting debate between the speaker and the audience, moderated by Prof. José Guimón, member of the UAM-Accenture Chair.
