John Dumay is Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Management at the Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) and editor of the Journal of Intellectual Capital and the Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management. His research focuses, among others, on issues related to innovation, intellectual capital management and non-financial accounting.
Firstly, John Dumay gave a presentation entitled “Intellectual Capital Management: from theory to practice”, in which he exposed the challenges and opportunities that intellectual capital management represents for business practice in shaping innovative strategies, through a practical case, the start-up of his own brewing business with his son, Dad & Dave’s Brewery.
Then a coffee was served, during which a debate was held between the speaker and the audience moderated by Prof. Juan Carlos Salazar, UAM-Accenture Chair´s Academic Coordinator.
The event was chaired by Sara Campo, Vicedean of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of UAM.
